About Us

Having worked as a professional jazz musician for the better part of 30 years, I've encountered (all too often), very good musicians who are either too frightened of improvisation, or very unfamiliar with the techniques that encourage fluid, melodic, and logical solos.  I believe this is due to their misunderstanding of what it takes to succeed in the realm of improvisation - believing that improvisation is either too difficult or undeserving of serious effort. Fortunately, neither is true.

My desire is to teach the jazz novice in a manner that provides the student with all the tools and resources necessary to fulfill their creative aspirations and find joy in the world of jazz improvisation.
